At this time, the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario are allowing Massage Therapists to practise with the following guidance:
"RMTs should be providing in-person treatment when the anticipated benefits of treatment outweigh the risks to the client and the RMT. In determining whether it is best to provide Massage Therapy treatment to a client, an RMT must always weigh the potential risks (harm) of providing treatment (e.g. contracting COVID-19 and/or spreading it within their community) against the potential benefit of the treatment."
You can find out more about the CMTO's policies around COVID-19 here.
I continue to utilize all possible infection prevention and control protocols to keep you safe during your treatment and have been fully vaccinated as of June 5 2021.

The foundation of her practise is based on three pillars: Patient Values; Communication; and Available Evidence. Your beliefs, history, view points and needs are all extremely important. Colette believes in taking the time to learn about you and invites you to provide her with as much information as you feel comfortable to give you the best possible massage treatment that's right for you.
Communication, both verbal and non-verbal, are an essential component of health care and informed consent. In order to meet your needs and comfort level during treatment, Colette will ensure that communication pathways are clear and open. Should you have any specific concerns or communication preferences, those will be reviewed prior to treatment.
You can expect Colette to provide you with the most up-to-date information regarding best practises and evidence in massage therapy. She does her best to stay informed via research literature, continuing education and peer-led discussion.
